Dedicated Central Illinois Lawyer Advocates for Union Members

Springfield attorney supports organized labor and all workers’ rights

Located in Springfield, Boshardy Law Office, P.C., has been a strong advocate for the rights of Illinois union members since our founding in 1991. In workers’ compensation claims, personal injury matters and other legal actions, we aggressively seek the benefits union members have earned and the damages they are entitled to. Firm founder John V. Boshardy is proud to carry on a three-generation tradition of dedicated support for workers. Each day, our firm strives to follow the example of these family members:

  • Joe Boshardy, John Boshardy’s grandfather, worked in the Bloomington, Illinois rail yards during the 1920s and helped to unionize railroad workers. He remained a staunch advocate for the rights of workers to bargain collectively for better wages and benefits throughout his life in Chicago.
  • Andrew Boshardy, John Boshardy’s father, carried on the proud legacy of union involvement, working for 32 years as a member of the Chicago and Northeast District Council of Carpenters for Gateway Concrete Forming Systems in Chicago, Illinois.

John Boshardy understands the benefits that he, his family and so many others have received from their association with the trades. As increasing numbers of workers struggle to make ends meet, see their jobs sent overseas and are denied basic health and pension benefits, John further appreciates the tremendous advantages that he was given as the child of a union member. He works tirelessly to honor his family’s background though his legal work on behalf of union workers.
